Hemera Eau De Toilette

The Legend: The personification and goddess of the day. A Protogenoi (or Primordial god) she was the daughter of Nyx (night) and Erebos (darkness), showing that even from deepest shadow can spring light and brightness. Hemera was more of a concept than a goddess who was actually worshiped. She met her mother, Nyx, at the great Bronze gates at the end of the world each morning as Nyx returned from her duties and Hemera began hers. She married her brother and counterpart Aether (light) and they had one daughter Thalassa. Some confuse her with Eos (the Dawn) but she was not the breaking of the new day, but the day itself.

The Fragrance: A lovely warm opening of dew-kissed greens, fresh spices and warm creamy neroli brush back the blue shadows of pre-dawn and usher in a wonderfully warm scent of fruity honeysuckle and orange blossoms. An undercurrent of rose and jasmine sambac create a delightful floral air that is at once playful and androgynous, yet sexy. This is a floral perfume that has a fruity feeling to it; not a “fruity floral”, and like its namesake it is bright and shining. The finish is delightful as it cools (like the day itself) to lush green shadows, a cool earthiness and a soft muskiness. A wonderfully balanced scent for those who are confident and cheerful, and want to truly seize the day.
