Selene Eau De Parfum

The Legend: Selene, daughter of Titans Hyperion and Thea and sister to the sun and the dawn, drove the silvery chariot of the moon across the night sky. Her chariot was drawn by milk white heifers, and her beams brought rest, peace and dreams. She was (for the longest time) a rather aloof goddess, until she spied Endymion a shepherd on the slopes of Mt Latmos (in Asia Minor) and fell in love with him. She is portrayed and having long, silky black hair and pale alabaster skin. She is crowned with a crescent moon and sheer veil, and is often pictured carrying a torch. She gave birth to the Menae (nymphs) to Endymion and had one daughter (Pandia) to Zeus. She is often confused with Artemis in later legend, though Artemis was the chaste goddess of the hunt.

The Fragrance: Woody and aromatic with a cool finish, this scent begins like an evening breeze with greens and citric blossoms augmented by warm wood and subtle spice. It becomes more floral, as night blooming jasmine entwines with hypnotic roses. A blend of warm cloves and smooth nutmeg balanced by pungent clary sage reminds one of herbs and spices added to a bubbling cauldron to call upon the magic of the moon, as it rises to its zenith. A cool lush green embrace of orris and violet leaf wraps you in the freshly fallen coolness of night, as mysterious styrax and spicy flowers lead you to a bed of warm resin and smoky vanilla. The fragrance of the waxing moon, full of potential and power, this is a scent for those who love the night and celebrate its charms and revel in it.
